Terminology Bio statistics

Biostatistics:- there is  application of statistics to a wide range of topics in a biology .It encompasses the design of biological experiments; the collection ,summarisation, and analysis of data from those experiments ;and the interpretation of and interference from the results.

Common Statistical terms 

Variable:-  A characteristics that takes on different values in different persons, places or things.A quality that varies  within limits such as  height ,weight, blood pressure ,age etc.

Attribute:- characteristics of an object. A variables is a logical set of attributes.

Constant:- Quantities that do not vary and hence do not require statistical study.

Parameter:- Summary value or constant of a variable that describe the samples of its mean ,standard deviation, standard error . it is is value is calculated from sample.
