 The skin hair nails and glands all make up integumentary system of the body

Epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin 

Dermis is the Pascal layer of the skin

Skin doubling time 4 weeks 

skin is the outermost covering of the body largest organ in the body surface area 1.5 to 2 square 

it has two layers of epidermis and dermis between the skin and underlying structure there is a layer of subcutaneous fat

epidermis is most superficial layer and is composed of keratinized squamous epithelium layer 

There are 5 layers from outside to inside they are stratum corneum stratum lucidum stratum granulosum stratum spinosum and stratum Basale

the colour of skin is affected by three major factors melanin  haemoglobin and bile pigments 

Dermis is the inner layer which consists sweat glands, sebaceous gland ,hair follicles, lymph vessel ,blood vessel Arector pilorum  and free nerve ending
